Christmas Countdown- Day 6

Christmas Dinner Main Dishes

Serving your first Christmas dinner?  Or looking for a way to change up your big day feast?  Here are some main dish ideas for a fabulous holiday meal!

Stuffed Pork Roast-
The red apples and green rosemary make this pork roast a terrific way to make your holiday table even more colorful!  To save some time, ask your butcher to butterfly the roast for you if they offer that service.

Jambalaya-
The red and green peppers make this another colorful option for your holiday meal!  In addition to the chicken and sausage, you could add some shrimp to take the flavor to a new level.

Ham-
(photo from bonappetit.com) Holiday ham is a staple in my family.  We have a big ham dinner every Christmas day.  Here is a fabulous recipe from Bon Appetit magazine, I can't wait to try this one out!

Roast Beef Tenderloin-
(photo from bonappetit.com) Here is another terrific recipe from BA.  I love the idea of the caesar crust!

Braised Chicken-
This is a fairly low maintenance dish that has a lot of flavor.  The chicken gets so tender it falls right off the bone!  Serve it up with a generous amount of the tomato sauce.
